My fifth nephew is on his way!!! So I decided to keep busy when watching the TV by knitting him a cosy blanket.
I bought a Blanket Kit from the Wool Shop at the Knitting and Stitching Show 2014 which used some gorgeous flutterby wool, to make a blanket for a friend expecting her first baby. I could not find the actual wool on the website of the stall I bought it from but it is in stock here
I have not seen any of this snugly wool in the shops near where I live, so had a look on Calico Laine and decided on this beautiful Wedgwood blue. The pattern was very simple and the chunky wool made it grow really fast! Perfect!
Pattern: free from a kit
Wool: 4 balls of Super chunky
Wonky factor: 10/10 it’s gorgeous!

I love knitting that grows quickly, the best kind 🙂 Lovely shade of blue. I’m currently knitting my daughter an identical scarf to the one I made a friend’s daughter for Christmas. Good to use up the last couple of balls too. Something very comforting about knitting on a Winter’s evening…
