I wanted to have a coat and dress to wear to my brothers at Christmas, however, I started the coat, then had the idea of the dress and the coat didn’t get finished! It was one of those makes I couldn’t get inspired to finish!
Here is the The Petersham

I have worn it lots of times and someone has always paid me a compliment. As it was one of my first blog makes it is not lined, so I decided to line The Richmond to make it easier to get my arms in! I absolutely hate linings but decided to persevere! I love the collar and the pockets!

I bought the matching hat after seeing Charlotte wearing hers! She looked fabulous! Sadly, my teenage daughter refuses to go out with me in it! Embarrassing for her! Haha
Pattern: Prima Magazine Swing Coat
Fabric: 2.5 metres wool mix coating, 2m lining, large button all from Fletchers Fabrics,York
Wonky Factor: 8/10 I like it but think fitted coats are better on me. It is nice and warm though! I also had problems with the button being so big…..my one step buttonhole would not work!!
Hat from Accessorise
I ❤️hats!
