I have made this blouse twice before and love wearing them.
I decided to have a try with it in lace.
I ❤️the fabric on White Tree Fabrics so much that even if I am not getting the lace from them for a Blog post I still like to buy it!
This was in a vintage blue lace costing £6.40 per metre but I used my own code :SEWDEPUTY FOR 20%off and free P&P! Have you used it yet? You add it in the CODE box as you pay.
It was an easy sew and has a slight stretch to it so I did not add any zips or fastenings.
Pattern: Simplicity 1692
Fabric: White Tree Fabrics navy lace
Wonky Factor: 9/10 it went quite well!
I like the sleeve gathering with elastic, it was the first time I had ever done it and next time need to make it a little tighter. I wear it with a nude vest underneath so the lace is more noticeable.

Lovely! This is so inspiring, seeing lace worked up as a very wearable and eye-catching top. Really good job you’ve done.

Just got back from the fabric store , loaded up with dress fabrics for my daughters. I hear some summer dresses calling my name. Nice to hear that I inspired you to keep blogging back in the beginning. Such a sweet thing to say. 🙂

Ooh pretty! I think the lace makes it a “softer” blouse than the woven version. I love the way you use the lace’s scallop edges
