It’s the time to start this years Arabella Collection! She is now two and is having a holiday in France this summer.
I decided to use the pattern from last years collection Burda 9708, as it is very quick to make and I love how it shows off the fabric. I bought this from Calico Laine , it was £5.99 a metre.
The Arabella Collection
As I had already cut the pattern on the size I wanted last year, I just added a 1.5 cm seam allowance in each piece. I also made sure the facings fitted exactly on the front and back.
I used my new method for seams….sew 1.5 cm , trim and zigzag stitch.
I used a double hem and stitched around it twice.
I really like the tie details on this design.
I am sure you will see this dress modelled during the Summer months!
Pattern Burda 9708
Fabric: 1 metre of cotton from Calico Laine, £5.99GBP
Notions: thread and Annice and Arabella label
So cute! I would love to wear this dress! 🙂
