My Calico Laine make this month is another retro blouse from Simplicity 2154
It is made from some gorgeous stretch lace so I did not need to add a zipper or the fancy bow. I used the scalloping instead of a hem. I also made my own bias tape to edge the neck and the sleeves. Here it is in the lace and a variety of other fabrics!
You do need a nude cami underneath!
The wisteria outside my house is just beautiful!
You can buy this soft corded fabric at Calico Laine here…and it is currently on sale:
soft corded lace fabric
I used 1 metre of soft corded lace.
Pattern: Simplicity 2154
I cut both pieces on the fold so I have no seam down the back and French seams at the sides.

Hi Amanda. I love your wisteria, so romantic. Your green polka dot blouse is adorable. Such a beautiful shade of blue in your lace top. I haven’t been on my blog lately, so I am catching up reading what you have been up to.

Thanks! When I started sewing I was just wanting a pattern that I could keep changing and it would be a great fit, this seems to be the one! I love it!
