Last year I made a lovely blouse which I have worn quite a lot….. So I decided on a replacement. I used this pattern….
until I spilt pasta sauce all over the bow!
As it was one of the items that actually is a perfect fit I decided it would be great to have a few to wear during the Summer.
So in Leeds market I found a perfect fabric…at £5 a metre. I bought 1 and a 1/2 metres.
I loved the fabric and it has a very dark navy and black Eiffel Tower pattern.
I am really pleased with how it fits and you know how I love a bow! Can feel a few more blouses like this being made!
That’s beautiful with the interesting fabric! I have this pattern but plain white wasn’t inspiring me too much 😀

Gorgeous! Beautifully made and I love your choice of the vintage style in the vintage print. Very girly, in a good way. I’ll have to look for that pattern!

I have been looking for a pattern I can keep using because it is such a good fit. This seems to be it! There are so many variations you can do to it! Last night I made a lace version without the collar and bow! Thank you!

I didn’t try that but had a good few goes with other types and in the end put it in the bin and decided to pins some scarves in it instead! So it looks quite nice.Makes you wonder what goes in a shop bought pasta sauce doesn’t it! I love my new blouse too. It has been in the worn and washed 3 times this week! Think it is my new fav!

Hi Linny. I hope you don’t mind but I needed a pink coat so have started sewing my pink fabric I got for the coat off!! It is really light so would have been no good for a winter coat anyway. I have started a 60 s style and got some mint fabric for the collar and cuffs, which has the most gorgeous blossoms on it! You will love it. I may go back for more fabric and make a dress to go underneath! Anyway, hope you don’t mind but will get more appropriate pink fabric if we ever get onto coat off 2014!! Hahaha

Hi Amanda. What you started without me !!! Just kidding. Your new coat sounds gorgeous. I will wait with great excitement for the photos. I have not seen any pastel coloured winter fabric down here. I think I will have to throw the towel in on this coatoff. Happy sewing.

Hehe! Well, there are loads of pink coats around. For spring . So I think we were just too ahead of our time! We should reschedule for 2015 and there will be lots of pink fabric for us to choose! Will post soon. Just sewing in sleeves and bought lining this morning. I love it. I am trying to make it as gorgeous as the trench!! ⭐️
