Remember the navy squiggle dress?! Well I loved the fabric so much I have almost bought every colour! It is quite a fine fabric with tulle ribbon sewn on it in a random pattern.
I had pink in the stash and when my Prima February 2014 dropped on the mat with an edge to edge coat…..it was meant to be!
It has pockets and I lined the whole coat in a pink cotton as the pattern suggests a fabric which looks the same on both sides!
It is far too cold to wear at the moment but……wouldn’t it be perfect for a Spring weekend in Paris!!??
Facts: 2m of fabric
2m of pink lining
Prima February 2014
Total cost £19.00 GBP
I saw this and thought of you!

Hello, remember when you made your fabulous circle skirt and we were thinking of other ideas. I knew I had seen a fabulous telephone one, but could not find it … I just did!

Aha!!! And now I know where *I’d* seen it before – Charlotte of Tuppence Ha’penny did one, in Casey’s Elegant Musings Circle Skirt Sewalong:

Those squiggles are fun! After finishing up my daughter’s coat a few days ago I briefly thought, “maybe I should make a coat for myself.” And here you’ve made this lovely coat. Maybe in a few years I’ll be brave enough!

You should give coats a try! They have been my best makes! I think because the fitting is a little easier! I have never surpassed my lace Trenchcoat that I made in October! It is perfect!

Thank you! I am wondering what to make to wear underneath? Needs to be quite casual or it will look like a wedding outfit! I wondered about a shift dress? Same colour as the lining?

A shift dress in the same colour as the lining sounds perfect. It will be a gorgeous ensemble. 🙂
