I found some beautiful Christmas fabric at the Knitting and Stitching Fair in Harrogate, for my Christmas staff party dress. After having a look at some of the Burda patterns on offer, I decided on a drop waist 1920s style as it really suited the fabric. I loved these gorgeous dresses I found on google:
So had in my head the long bow on the side and also these gorgeous shoes….. From my parents from Next.
So here it is in progress…..I lost count of the number of times I inserted the invisible zip as the dress was too big on my neck . I am still not completely happy though!
I think it may have to be my Christmas Day dress too. More photos to follow ………..tonight is party night!
I hope you had a very Merry Christmas in your lovely party dress! ❤

Amanda, actually I’m working a temporary position and the hours are long and leave little time for anything else. It’s a good job and I enjoy it and am learning tons of new skills, meeting really nice people and helping people in need (a social services program) so I can’t complain, but I miss my blog-peeps and seeing what you all are doing and I also miss my own creative work. The position was supposed to be for 45 days starting from November 8th, but I was told it may last through March now so it will be some time until I’m able to be as attentive as I want to be. I will check in as I can, but when you don’t hear from me, know that I am have not lost interest, just don’t have time to follow and comment.
So nice to hear from you and wishing you a most happy holiday season.
Merry Christmas! 🙂
