I love New Look 6145 and seem to keep making this style…. however, I have not made one with the collar before or the unusual sleeves. It is a very quirky dress and I think I really love it! As a visit to Leeds was on the cards for lunch (and show off the Liverpool Trench!!!) I felt like I needed a nice dress and hairstyle.
2metres of polyester and viscose, invisible zip, self covered button.
Hair style courtesy of my own personal hairstylist….my 14year old daughter, lots of grips and hairspray!
The quirky sleeves….. note to self …keep checking they are arranged neatly!
Beautiful collar at the back. It is fastened with an invisible zip and a self covered button.
See what I mean about the quirky sleeves!
The sleeve pattern. It has pleats in each sleeve.
I also did these sleeves on this dress:
I have started on a brown dress now with a scalloped hem!…..
Watch this space!
You’re doing all the cool features I’d love to do. I’m gonna watch this space.

Love the dress, the colour and style really suits you. Did you manage to squeeze time for fabric shopping in your trip to Leeds?

Loving the sleeves- are they nice to wear? They don’t feel weird?
I’m looking forward to hearing all about the scalloped hem dress, as a scalloped hem skirt is on my To Make Sooner Rather Than Later List.

They feel fine to wear, I was more worried about looking like an extra from Dr Who! Lol
Yes, dress with scallops is going well. I had a practise with some cuffs and then just went for it on the hem. I used the lid from the slow cooker! Ha! is that allowed!!??I will take some extra photos of how I did the hem then!

The Arts Cafe. Was very nice. Near the Corn Exchange. Worth a visit if you are fabric shopping in the market or Samuel Taylor’s!

Thanks! Aren’t the sleeves funny? I am not sure I set them in properly and wonder if they should be more puffy? But I quite liked them so left them as they were!
New boots to match Trench! Lol👢
