Your trench is the best ever! I need to challenge myself instead of sewing easy things in no time.

Yes, this is the first time I have done that. I usually just buy cheap fabric and just want to get it finished. Although my coat was £35 in total. So not bad! Mind, I am rushing out the dresses to wear under it! Hahaha but have gone for £7.99 a metre!! I am going to a wedding next September and have decided to go for gorgeous fabric and try and make it the best I can! I thought if I start it after Christmas I might embellish it over the months… So it a real show stopper!

Haha! Thanks! I love it too. Might have to do another colour. Annice’s Textiles teacher said never to buy fleece on a roll as much cheaper to buy a blanket! She was right, half the price and I could get a few more out too! Brown fleece hats for sale!!!

OMG, how did I miss your lace trench? You knocked this one out of the park, for sure. It’s beautiful. And I love your photos of Liverpool, too. So the sun actually does shine every once in awhile in England? 🙂

Hah! Yes, it certainly does on occasion! Although the weekend I was in Liverpool the South of England shut down because of severe winds! We had a few showers and the UNwaterproof trench coped well! Haha

Thanks…..I just love finding out about where you live from your blogs so I thought it would be nice for you to see parts of England too. Liverpool was so impressive – the dock buildings are all converted to beautiful flats now. I would love to live somewhere like that! Watching everything going on from my window! I am sooo nosy! Haha

Oh you are so sweet.Yes I agree life in a beautifully converted flat overlooking the docks would suit me too. I love all the comings and going ons of the rivercrafts. Did the big storm affect you in Liverpool ? I was watching our news on T.V and saw weather warnings.

We just got the edge of it so it was quite blustery. However, the media frenzy was crazy for down south. They stopped trains into London so my son’s girlfriend could not get back to uni and my son had his lecture in Leeds cancelled because the lecturer was stranded in London!

Glad that you are ok Amanda. I can imagine how much chaos that would have caused in London. Even here in Melbourne a dose of bad weather can cripple the transport system of the city. In summer it gets so hot that the rail tracks bend out of shape.

WOW! That is a magnificent coat! And you made it so quickly- it hardly seems any time since you started it. But it’s perfect timing, now that the autumn is setting in and we’re feeling the chill.
Any chance of a flash of your lining?

Haha! Was too cold by the Mersey! But I think I may be wearing it tomorrow so will get a shot then!

I did wear it today and forgot the lining shot so I am afraid it is an indoor, hanging on the back of the door shot! Found a nice scarf in my cupboard today too to match!!
