Hehe, of course my details are great! I have you to aspire to! I also did a little history of the trench coat to find out why it only has one lapel…. Originally double breasted coats for the army higher ranks. Mine is just a design feature, I also added small buttons onto the pocket flaps, and bought a leather belt, instead of making a fabric one, yesterday – I hope it will look really professional!
Oh, you’re so nice. 🙂
The buttons on the flaps are a perfect addition.
How interesting about the trench coat development. I like learning about the history of fashion… how it came about and why. I read somewhere that buttons were first put on military uniform sleeves (like we wear on blazers today) to keep the men from wiping their noses on their sleeves. I wonder if that is really true, but I suppose it could be back before kleenex was invented the sleeve was probably quite a handy fix for a runny nose.
This is looking great – liking the little glimpse of pocket lining, too!
