As soon as I saw Simplicity 2154 I just knew I wanted to make it!
I started and finished the blouse in August and have worn it lots of times…I love it. I managed to get it to fit really well. The bow is interfaced, if I make another one I think I would leave it to be less structured.
I had some blue fabric which I bought ready for the Pastel Winter Coat Off. It is a soft blue man made type fabric which was not so good to sew and frays every where. I started off with the intention of this being the perfect sew and let myself down after the blouse
The skirt started off well but despite a good insertion of a concealed zipper I did not finish the waistband particularly well and had to add a fancy hook and eye. Which I actually quite like.. and it would look great on a cape!!
An interesting sew for me as I really think I need to start buying better quality fabric for what I make and start going for quality rather than quantity.
NOW….. where is my application form and CV!!!??
This is just fabulous, I love air hostess uniforms, esp. from the 60s and 70s. Great job!!

Thank you. It is a little too cold now to wear. I would be a great suit in a wool or tweed.

Omygosh, this is sooo cute. Cute probably isn’t the right word, chic, is more like it. I love the clasp on the waistband… nice recovery.
