This week my 50% off Simplicity patterns arrived! …. And my pattern for The Coat Off. Very exciting!
As well as a 1940s retro pattern which I had chosen some lovely pink spotty (and dotty!) cotton from the market stall .
After the great EUREKA moment that has changed my sewing I was excited to get started and see if the 1inch less on The Body would mean a perfect fit! ?!
By this afternoon it was all looking hopeful! I made sure everything was perfect with my seams and the neck and the sleeves with cuffs! I covered my own buttons for a very co-ordinated look. The invisible zip went in like a dream and at one point I looked on the wrong side for it!
Finally….. A perfect fit! Lesson to remember….. It is all in the measuring!!
The jacket was hiding in my wardrobe! What a find!

Gorgeous top Amanda. It goes so well with your jacket. I love your patterns. I have to keep looking for the fabric for the coat off. Time is running out for me.:)
